Tivoli Gardens

Our planning note

Garden admission and rides are separate

Plan the sequence

Copenhagen in one or two days

Treat Tivoli as a flexible afternoon or evening anchor rather than a fixed year-round stop. Confirm that the gardens open on your date, then choose admission-only or a package that explicitly includes rides.

Visit order

Check the calendar before the ticket

Confirm the seasonal opening date and hours first. On arrival beside Central Station, keep the admission barcode and any ride voucher easy to find, then begin with a gentle circuit before choosing rides or a meal.

Plan your Tivoli Gardens visit

One or two days

Leave Tivoli room to expand

On a one-day visit, explore Copenhagen earlier and keep Tivoli for a flexible afternoon or evening. With two days, place other timed attractions on the separate day so queues, food or entertainment do not turn the garden visit into a rush.

Rain or families

Plan for different priorities

Bring a light waterproof layer and remember that weather or safety checks can affect rides. For families, check restrictions, decide who needs ride access and set a visible meeting point for anyone choosing the gardens instead.
