Dublin.

Literary connections. Historic streets.

Begin with Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, then leave time for Dublin’s streets and riverbanks. A carefully timed cathedral visit gives the day a focus while keeping room for walks, meals and discoveries along the way.

Plan the sequence

Dublin in one or two days

Build each day around one or two priorities and leave walking time between them. On Sundays, choose the cathedral’s sightseeing window before fixing the rest of the itinerary.

Half day

Start with the cathedral

Give the interior an unhurried hour or more, then continue with a relaxed walk and a meal. Keep the next booking far enough away to enjoy unexpected discoveries.

Plan your cathedral visit

Two days

Separate landmarks and wandering

Use one day for your main cultural visits. Leave another more flexible for the River Liffey and neighbourhood walks, adding attractions only after checking their own admission rules.

Winter

Balance indoor time and daylight

Put the waterfront walk in the brighter part of the day and use the cathedral as a sheltered stop. Carry a warm waterproof layer and allow for changing weather.
