Rome.

Choose your Colosseum access carefully, then give the Forum and Palatine the time they deserve.

Colosseum, Forum & Palatine

Our planning note

Arena and underground access are different

Plan the sequence

Rome in one or two days

Use the fixed Colosseum time as the anchor. The Forum and Palatine are substantial outdoor visits, so protect daylight and avoid placing another timed attraction immediately afterwards.

Visit order

Build around the booked entry

For an early Colosseum slot, continue to the Forum and Palatine after the amphitheatre. For a later slot, visit the archaeological areas first only when your ticket conditions and closing time leave a safe return margin.

One or two days

Keep the ancient core together

On a one-day plan, reserve roughly half a day for the three archaeological areas and keep the rest flexible. With two days, place museums, churches or neighbourhood walks on the second day instead of stacking another fixed admission.

Rain or family pace

Choose the priority before arrival

The Forum and Palatine are exposed outdoor sites. In rain or with children, decide which area matters most, carry a simple food-and-rest plan and shorten the route rather than rushing every ruin.
