Vienna.

Imperial rooms. Time to wander.

Start with Schönbrunn’s palace rooms and park, then leave space for Vienna beyond the imperial sights. Build each day around one area rather than rushing between reservations.

Schönbrunn Palace

Palace and park

Our suggestion: half a day

Plan the sequence

Vienna in one or two days

Give Schönbrunn its own half-day. These flexible plans leave time for both the booked tour and a proper break.

One day

Palace first, park afterwards

Arrive for your confirmed palace tour, then take a meal break and choose a park walk to suit the weather. The Gloriette hill adds climbing and should be an optional extension.

Choose your palace visit

Two days

Separate Schönbrunn from the centre

Use day one for the palace and park. Keep day two for central Vienna, with a walk around the historic streets and time for a café stop rather than another packed timetable.

Rain or children

Make one extra attraction a choice

The palace interiors are useful in wet weather, but gardens and meeting points may be outdoors. For children, consider the separate Children’s Museum; check its ticket and hours before adding it.
